We are pleased to introduce our Kids Art Academy for Fall 2025. This is an opportunity for talented artists to receive the very best in art education.

Class Details

• Duration: 14-week semester
• Days:
  • Monday - 10:00am - 12:00pm
  • Tuesday - 10:00am - 12:00pm
  • Tuesday - 4:30pm - 6:30pm
• Ages: This class is for all ages 6-18 years
• Tuition: $695.00*

* (includes $125 materials fee for fine art materials for in class, homework study kit and portfolio)

We are very excited to teach budding artists in the greater area of Peoria and beyond who love art, design, and creativity as much as we do.

Our goal is to keep their creativity flowing and build a solid skill set in fine art. Your student will love being part of our creative community, meet new friends and have fun.

Students will create a portfolio of work they will be proud of. Each student will receive a sketchbook to practice sketching during the week.

Karen is a fully qualified professional artist who has taught art for over 20 years both in the school setting as a K-8 public school Art Teacher and privately through workshops and art classes in the community.

Her experience enables a flexibility to work with students of all skill levels and help each one achieves outstanding results.

She shares her knowledge and expertise that has been cultivated that has as a Master of Fine Arts Graduate from the Academy of Art San Francisco and her Studies as at School of Visual Arts New York and Academy of Art where she earned her Bachelors in Illustration.

Each project will link to a different theme of art and a variety of techniques.

During the semester we will focus on various artists whose style of work is influenced by a particular movement or style.

Other interesting facts on how it is relevant to the history of art, or linked to other subjects will ensure reinforced learning takes place.

Participation in our lessons will help improve your child’s self-confidence, assist with relaxation, independent thinking, improve their fine motor skills and stretch their artistic talent.
